2009 Events for TCCE

For budgeting purposes, please consider including the following events:

August 26-28, 2009 - TCCE Annual Meeting (for execs and staff) Middle Tennessee (Mt. Juliet). Registration: $100.00. An educational opportunity for executives to further upgrade their management and Chamber operation skills. Each year programs are conducted to provide attendees with ideas of current trends in Chamber programming, as well as an opportunity to network with their peers.

(1) These prices do not include travel expenses.
(2) These costs are approximate. Budgets are still being established, but history of the events indicates these costs will be fairly accurate.

Directory of TCCE Members

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives is organized to enhance the professional growth and development of Chamber executives, staff and volunteers in Tennessee. TCCE works to achieve the following goals and objectives:

  • To foster the professional development of Chamber of Commerce executives and staff;
  • To enhance the status of Chambers of Commerce in the state and the nation; and,
  • To provide a communication link between Chambers of Commerce in Tennessee.

TCCE Programs

Volunteer Leadership Conference
This conference is designed to educate the volunteer leadership of the members Chambers. Executives are encouraged to bring officers, board members and key volunteers. Sessions educate volunteers about their duties and responsibilities in Chamber operations and about innovative and creative programs from other Chambers. It is combined with a reception for Tennessee legislators, and is held in February in Nashville.

Annual Executive Conference
During the summer, executives take this opportunity to further upgrade their management and Chamber operation skills. National and state presenters provide attendees with ideas of current trends in Chamber programs, and executives also have the chance to network with their peers.

Institute Scholarships
Each year TCCE provides scholarships based on available funds for executives to attend the U. S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Organizational Management. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the desire to continue their education, financial need and participation in TCCE activities.

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry helps coordinate activities for TCCE.
