The CORNERSTONE of Leadership

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry to bring about an increasingly better business climate and thereby a higher quality of life for all Tennesseans by serving as the primary voice of business and industry.

Advocacy
Advocate for Your Business

The Chamber is the voice of business in Tennessee. Our government relations team is on the scene whenever the state legislature is in session: testifying at hearings and meetings with legislators and state agency staffs on behalf of our members, tracking important legislation and making sure that the general assembly knows what issues matter most to Tennessee's business community.

As a member of the Chamber, you can feel secure in your day-to-day operations, knowing your interests are promoted and carefully protected at the state capitol.

Immediate access to the expertise of the Chamber's lobbyists is an automatic part of the Chamber membership. Feel free to contact our staff for information regarding legislative and regulatory action in any areas, including: education, energy, environment, health care, human resources, tax policy, unemployment, and workers' compensation.

Join one or more of our standing committees. Help set the Chamber policy agenda, or merely keep up-to-date on activities in these areas:

  • Education Committee
  • Environment Committee (and Subcommittees)
  • Chemical Industry Committee
  • Human Resources Committee
  • Public Affairs Committee
  • Tax Committee

An investment in the Chamber gives you real political clout. While other companies pay thousands of dollars for lobbyists and consultants to gather and analyze legislative and regulatory information, you can receive all this and more through your membership in the Chamber. Our expert staff is only a telephone call or e-mail away, and will work actively on your behalf.

Your investment in buildings, equipment and employees can only hold their value if you protect yourself by investing in Tennessee's rule-making and policy-making processes.
