The Tennessee Economic Development Council is a statewide, non-profit organization created to unite the efforts of its members in furthering industrial development in the state of Tennessee. TEDC promotes cooperation and understanding among the individual members of the council and the varied interests they represent. TEDC has over 350 members, which include state and local economic developers, construction companies, manufacturing companies and other industries.
The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives was organized to enhance the profession growth and development of Chamber executives, staff, and volunteers in the State of Tennessee. TCCE is comprised of over 250 local chamber professionals, representing 90 chambers in Tennessee.
LIFT – Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow- is a Detroit-based, public-private partnership committed to the development and deployment of advanced lightweight metal manufacturing technologies, and implementing education and training initiatives to better prepare the workforce today and in the future. As part of the partnership with LIFT, the Tennessee Chamber will join and collaborate with other partnering state organizations in the LIFT region of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, including manufacturers and educational institutions. LIFT is one of the founding institutes of Manufacturing USA, and is funded in part by the Department of Defense with management through the Office of Naval Research.
